The Weekend

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We enjoyed Lucy's one-year birthday party on Saturday. What a celebration it was! Darling decorations all coordinated in pink and white and Lucy had her own custom-made pink and white bib with her name on it. How cute to see her in her glory watching Mom open all of the presents! To read more on the life of Lucy, go to: lucybugslife.blogspot.com for those of you who are not familiar with Lucy and her family. Get ready for an incredible story! Here are some party pics:

I was also able to have a (short) reunion with some friends on Saturday. Amy and Aimee hadn't seen Crosby yet so they and Steph came over. After roaming around in the house for a month straight and not getting out much, it is SO refreshing when visitors come! We had fun times running up to the Kmart photo booth taking crazy pictures like we were in eighth grade all over again. It was a project Steph is working on so we indulged her wishes. Won't post any of those since they were a little too freaky looking...

D just began his first graveyard shift Saturday night. He has been in training for his new job the past month and it has been a day schedule so he's been here with us in the morning and at night. Now things are doing an about face as far as scheduling goes and we've been dreading this a bit but we will work through it. The only sad thing is D will miss a little more of what Crosby is up to. Like today I was up at my parents' and Cros was breaking into these adorable grins all afternoon! He is just now doing some smiles "on purpose." Here's one I caught with my phone camera:

Those Crosby cheeks look scrumptious! Thanks for coming to the party. Now we just need some warmer temps so we can plan a picnic playdate at the park with these two!

I'm so excited you have a blog! Your baby boy is absolutely darling, I hope everything is going well. It sounds like you're adjusting just fabulously to motherhood, it's the best thing! What is D doing now? I hope he's able to hang out with you and Crosby a little more. Anyway, we definitely do need to get together soon, so our boys can chill!
