May is Almost Halfway Over

Croz and Gus are lucky to have so many friends...

I wasn't thinking and booked Crosby pretty heavily last week, so he had some sun-filled days with buddies. He and Davis played in the sand

It is getting harder and harder to take pictures of these guys, they move so fast!

Croz hadn't officially met my friend Jodi's little girl Syd yet.

Did they hit it off or what?

Great entertainment for us, right Jodi? Hope we do it again soon before you move!

Does this duo look familiar?

We love going over to Lucy's. Codi, we shall sunbask again soon! I can't believe how much they did their own thing.

Luce and her rocks

Crosby loving the lawn mowing

Couldn't ask to be the mother of a more incredible little person.

Such a great weekend with my guys!

Happy Mother's Day

To all of you moms... have a WONDERFUL Mother's Day!

Wow Mom. Can you even believe you raised this crew?

And I think you did quite a job. We all love you so so much. Thank you for devoting your life to us! You have instilled more love in us than you could ever know, and hopefully you feel it circulate right back to you. Oliver Wendell Holmes said that mothers carry the key of our souls in their bosoms. No one could be a better example of this than you. Happy Happy Mother's Day!

Sabita, we love you and Happy Mom's Day to an incredible mother. You overcame countless obstacles that many of us will never have to deal with in order to raise your sons and I know they are forever grateful.

PS Mom, don't you love my scanning techniques? Here is yet another oldie, from Cam's wedding... but I'm evening things out here... now you look fantastic and I...

Happy Birthday Cam!

I have the best older brother in the world. I want to brag about him. I will only say a few things though. He is intelligent (graduating from dental school NEXT WEEK!), hilarious, handsome, sensitive, spiritual, fun, the hardest worker, and truly one of the kindest people ever. Cam, you and I were so close growing up and you've helped me through some hard times. I've missed you soooo much! I know we kind of have separate lives now with our own families but I am so thrilled to spend more time with you now that you're coming home.

LOVE YOU!
Lis

This picture is from July '05 after a long day of getting your moving truck packed and ready to go for Cleveland. Already your four years are up and it is unbelievable. I know you guys loved Cleveland but it's too hard to not have you in the same city.

Can't wait to see you in a week for some birthday + graduation C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-I-O-N!!!!!

Man of Many Teeth

... many toys

... and many new mischievous faces. And tantrums. Here though he is peacefully eating his yogurt.

Still peaceful.

And then comes the face. I kind of captured it. He dumped his yogurt out and I gave him a look and he gave me one back.

Dog Park

Too bad we don't have a dog ): Oh well, we just borrow other people's dogs.

Thanks to Jessie, we are now interested in letterboxing. Anyone know what that is? Well we found one at the dog park and it is officially a new family tradition! I won't give away any treasure hunt secrets though... maybe one hint... the letterbox is camouflaged in the woods...

Croz loved it! See that ginormous smile on his face?

Something About May 1st

Really, what is it about May 1st? I have always loved it. I really think I have James Taylor to thank because Mom and Dad raised us on him and this song pops into my head EVERY May 1st without fail! He really does say it best... here are the lyrics to his song "First of May," which sadly is not on Playlist.com ):

Here also is a picture back from 2001 when my family went to a JT concert together, awww...

FIRST OF MAY

And the light between us
Which we could not quite extinguish
Which we see at dawn
Burns on

First day of May
Things are beginning
Our side is winning
Hip hip hooray
Made in the shade
Deep in the shadow
Down by the meadow
Lie in my arms

And the moon will rise
Before our very eyes
We will rise too
I`ll be with you
It`s a rite of spring
A horizontal thing
The sweetest sort of dance
Hidden in among the plants

Ha ha ha ha
People are laughing
Children are singing
Come join the dance

And the walls around us
Which we kept at such a cost
When we turned around
Came tumbling down

Ha ha ha ha
She can`t stop laughing
He can`t stop singing
First day of May

No Camera

= bummer.

Went to Wheeler Farm with some buddies last week and it was perfect. The kids played and ran around and stared at the animals. I'm so sad we have officially lost our camera; I swear Croz put it SOMEWHERE. I knew I shouldn't let him play with it! Well we were going to get a new one anyway. I took Jess to Costco with me today and she helped me understand camera features a little better. I didn't know that more megapixels don't equal a better camera performance, it just helps in the enlargement department. Funny... anywho, my friend Janet had her camera at the farm and sent me these...

Croz found this scrappy broken shovel in the dirt and would not let go of it. He liked looking at the little newborn chicks and watching the guys bail hay and use tractors. The kids in this pic: Janet's twin boys Seth and Brad, Crosby, and Marsha's little cutie Katherine.
