Gems from the weekend:
* Never suppress a generous thought (from the LDS General Relief Society meeting, quote from Camilla Kimball)
* Watch out for "toxic perfection" (from a talk given in our church meeting yesterday)
* Getting excited for General Conference this weekend. No need to fear hearing those talks coming from the mouths of people we think are perfect. They aren't! They are messengers telling us what we should aim for in our lives. I'm happy to testify from past experiences how my personal questions, sorrows, or need for peace is answered because my heart and mind are open listening to conference.
* One of my yoga teachers, Meryl, (whom I LOOOVE!) always ends class with the formal version of namaste. It never fails to mean SO much to me each time I hear it. "I HONOR THE PLACE IN YOU IN WHICH THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE DWELLS. I HONOR THE PLACE IN YOU WHICH IS OF LOVE, OF TRUTH, OF LIGHT, AND OF PEACE. WHEN YOU ARE IN THAT PLACE IN YOU, AND I AM IN THAT PLACE IN ME, WE ARE ONE."

*And last but not least... the circus is really not as scary as I thought. D's mom took D, me, and C and we absolutely LOVED it! Especially second row where Frog could see everything up close.
Really it was everything I dreamed a circus would be. D and I were like little kids afterward in the car saying, "So how do you think they did that?" Like the picture above where they're upside down... they were up on the ceiling walking around, watering the flowers... hmmm... popping heads off, cutting people in half, tightrope walks, hamster wheels, maharaja dancing, elephants GALORE!, disappearing wizard acts, Japanese acrobats... I am SO joining the circus.
A bit tuckered out at the end, good thing we brought Gus.
