SO, traveling with a baby for the first time was actually not bad! She was more whiney (and thankfully takes a binkie - we used that more than normal!) but she loved the car and slept pretty much the entire time both ways (except for feeding and diaper change) so that was good. She was off-schedule, but that was to be expected and thus contributed to her here-and-there fussiness but she came back to normality and adjusted right back on schedule! If you get the chance to travel and get out as a family, I would definitely say DO IT!!!! It's way fun with your new little one.
