Seriously Diablo Cody's wit is genious. She is the writer for the show. The premise: a family in suburban Kansas trying to make their way through life with their mom Tara who has DID (dissociative identity disorder). She is trying through therapists and other ways to make her way to the core of what drives her CRAZY behavior. When she gets stressed she morphs into alters... one (T) is a promiscuous 17-yr-old, another (Alice) is a 1950's prim & proper housewife, and yet another (Buck) is a Vietnam war vet... yes, a man... with an incredibly tough edge. He scares me the most whenever I've watched. Ha! It's becoming too real! I had strep throat last week and as I was utterly chilled to the bone with 5 blankets piled on me, tossing and turning through the night, I had very real dreams about these characters. F.R.E.A.K.Y!
Ahhhhhhh! Buck!!!!!

I have always felt that Toni Collette is one of the best actresses of our time, but after seeing her play this role, I am blown away. She is so incredibly impressive. I can't believe how a person can convey such strong emotions through a screen the way that she can. Ooooh boy oh boy, this gets me pumped for Oscar night! February here we come.
