For He's a Jolly Good Fellow

Today Lennox turns 5 months... Happy Birthday!

I was in tears last night. As I'm feeding him on the Boppy, his body barely fit on my lap. Actually it didn't fit. Legs dangling down to the side. I held it together 'til I was walking down the hall with him, his legs reaching down so long... yes this was very random but as D and I passed in the hallway I said, "Look at him! He is getting so big!" and started crying. From October to now it feels like a matter of weeks, not months. The time has completely been a blur and it is now almost a HALF YEAR that we've had this sweet boy.

I use the word jolly because it embodies Lennox! After some nursing incidents he has been on formula for close to two months now and really has plumped up and we are thankful. After D got home he stared at L in the swing and said, "Who is this fat baby?!" He is the happiest baby. He is an angel sent from above, really. The hardest thing I have to do is burp him, as his burps are extra stubborn. He is a homebody. On Superbowl Sunday we were at Jon's and he screamed for an hour so I took him right back home, put his carseat on the floor, and he peered up at D and me and smiled huge. He just likes to be home.

He is in the 5-month-old giggle stage, I remember this with Croz. He gets the most punchy at night where anything and everything makes him bust a gut. It is about the cutest laugh I've ever heard. Well, a tie with Crosby's. He is starting to learn raspberries and that is very serious business to him. He likes to purse his lips and make a spitting sound and it cracks me up but he keeps a straight face. Sometimes when we try to make him smile he purposely keeps a straight face for as long as possible and then bursts into this enormous smile. I don't use the word precious often, but it is truly precious. And maybe a bit of mystery mixed in.

When it's time for sleep we say, "Time for sleepytime," lay him in his crib, and unless he has a monster burp, he sticks his fingers in his mouth (see below) and off he is to dreamland. He still watches his big bro at all times... every move he makes. It is quite entertaining to see Crosby run one way and Lennox's head follows. Then Croz run the other way and there goes Lennox's head, tracking his every move. We call him "baby spy," as we often catch him staring at one of us, then we acknowledge it, and then he cracks a huge smile and we say, "Awww you baby spy!" He is pure joy!

Love him SO much! But time is flying by and he's getting to be such a big boy...and Crosby's little twin! Love his little finger suck. We need to come over again soon to get some snuggles in before he's able to run away!

Ooooooooh - so cute! Love those cheeks and dimples! He is truly a happy boy when he is home, that is so funny! Wouldn't believe it if I had not witnessed it myself!
